Using ContainerTrac™, Sanitation Departments and Waste Management Companies can improve how they manage, track and control the distribution and allocation of Trash containers. ContainerTrac™ allows Departments and Companies to barcode label or RFID containers in the field. Using this technology trash haulers can now quickly scan the containers to assess payment, usage and any other data required by the department before the trash is taken. The technology also records the exact time the container was emptied. Depending on the device for scanning that is selected, the ContainerTrac solution can also collect quality GIS data on the device in the field when scanning the container. With this mapping ability haulers can quickly find containers and check status on their scheduled routes. If the hauler missed a scheduled pick-up it will be obvious on the display. This newly collected data on container management will allow Department to evaluate patterns of pick-ups, container use and effectiveness of distributing and routing. As more data emerges a more accurate picture of what is happening will be disclosed. This solution provides a mobile solution in the field to allow haulers to easily collect data on the container and actually map the location of the container using an ESRI based map on the Handheld or laptop. The data is then uploaded to the Mobizent Back-end system, that provides a complete solution of the container record and provides an overall container map, again using ESRI map server, that can track and monitor each container, hauler scheduled map and payments received throughout the city and facilitate quick rerouting if required.

The system can provide real-time monitoring of trash pick-up to make sure that deployment is being done effectively. The front-office component of the product ContainerTrac runs on any Windows Mobile handheld device that helps the Waste Management companies record accurate container information for all of their Customers without having to go back to the office or call the office, or having to use paper in the field. The back- office component of the product ContainerTrac is an ASP.Net based web application that provides business users and analysts with easy access to accurate container information. ContainerTrac™ is targeted toward assisting Departments and Waste management Compaines to collect and record accurate data and enhance their capability to gather essential information and identify patterns through analysis of the information recorded.
